So, What is Myofascial Release?

Myofascial Release is a GENTLE, safe, and highly effective whole
body hands-on approach to treatment.

Provides sustained pressure and gentle stretch into myofascial restrictions.
Utilizes a variance of pressure from light to heavy.

Eliminates pain and restores function.

Deepens the relaxation response.
Is the ultimate mind-body healing approach.

Under healthy circumstances, fascia is relaxed and able to stretch in response to physical demands and the forces of nature. It's our natural shock absorber.  The fascia naturally protects our body by bracing during an impact, trauma, surgery, or stressful situation, and can become solidified with repeated inflammation, overuse, poor posture, disease, physical and/or emotional trauma, or surgery. It's no wonder people are walking around in chronic pain!
Fascia does not show up on standard tests such as X-rays, MRI's, CAT scans, or electromyography which may be why people go undiagnosed or even misdiagnosed.

What happens to the fascia after an
injury, surgery, or trauma?

This video shows a representation of fascia when it becomes tight or bound down, and how the body has to accommodate to the restrictions, which then can cause pain in many areas of the body.
