Initial Visit: Whether you choose 60 or 90 minutes for your initial visit, approximately the first 15 minutes allows the therapist adequate time to understand your pertinent history, and to complete a visual and physical assessment. The remaining time will be for hands on Myofascial Release treatment.
90 minutes allows for more treatment time.

Follow up visits will start with a brief assessment of your body's alignment, then we'll continue on to the treatment.

Scheduling Tips For Myofascial Release

New Clients

Myofascial Release is not always a “one and done” treatment. In the beginning, repetition is key to helping your body experience lasting changes. For instance, you wouldn’t book just one Physical Therapy appointment and expect all of your ailments to be resolved in one visit. (I know, it’s wishful thinking! 😂) It can happen, but that’s not always the case.

I recommend scheduling weekly sessions for the first 3 weeks. This gives your body a chance to experience the momentum of this gentle, yet powerful, modality and helps us assess how your body is responding to treatment.

We certainly don’t want your body to simply return to the old holding patterns it has become so familiar with. From the therapist’s side, this initial period also allows me to see how quickly your body responds and how your progress is unfolding.

During those first few weeks, we’ll assess your progress together and adjust your treatment frequency accordingly. Some clients may benefit from more frequent sessions initially, while others may find that less frequent visits are appropriate as their bodies begin to respond.

Every body is different, and your treatment plan will be tailored to your individual needs and goals.
